Grove Founder and CEO, Izzy Gewirtzman, was leading a thriving logistics company when he launched a side hustle that would go on to break new ground.
Having always been an avid real estate investor, he’d been speculating ways to streamline deal generation for years. So, when a real estate group he’d previously invested with had a one-time need to source deals in a specific target market, Izzy seized the opportunity. Crafting a unique outreach approach to target off market sellers, the ‘experiment’ proved record-breaking. In less than 2 years, with just one part-time acquisition associate, 350 meetings were booked and 1200 units closed! Next move; scale.
Soon after, we discovered our sweet spot; newer vintage and newly developed multifamily properties. We found a natural rapport with developers – their energy, vision, and drive to create the next big thing resonated with us deeply. That’s where we found success and hit the ground running. Focusing on this niche gave us deep insights into the target market and its unique needs. We’re able to address the specific challenges that many developers face in the end stages of a project, by providing them with a smooth and efficient exit with a trusted partner, often contingent on or ahead of Certificate of Occupancy.
With a sharper understanding of our target sellers and a deeper appreciation for the importance of building long-term relationships, we made some real changes.

On the heels of Grove’s success, Izzy successfully sold his logistics company to a private equity backed strategic, allowing him to fully focus on taking Grove to the next level.
As our deal volume grew, we needed greater control and a clearer understanding of each opportunity. Bringing our underwriting in-house was the milestone achievement that gave us that leverage. With the in-house team, led by Akiva Hochbaum, we can now process deals more efficiently, spot discrepancies, and maintain full transparency about a deal’s true value.
Around the same time, we hit another key benchmark with the opening of our Miami office. This expansion allowed us to strengthen our presence in key markets and continue building the foundation for future growth.
Today, we’re proud to be operating three offices, consistently meeting and surpassing our targets, and flourishing as a team.
Just shy of 20 dedicated team members, we’ve refined our processes to ensure smooth, effective operations. Our team works diligently, celebrates each success, and grows alongside the company. We’re in sync, and it feels great.
